Hi guys kembali lagi di blog saya. Kali ini aku akan membahas mengenai describing place atau deskripsi tempat. Describing place merupakan penggambaran situasi maupun kondisi sebuah  tempat   Tempat yang dideskripsikan merupakan tempat-tempat yang memiliki daya tarik wisatawan seperti bangunan bersejarah atau kuno, namun bisa saja tempat yang terkenal atau khas seperti tempat kuliner. Deskripsi tempat bertujuan agar pembaca atau pendengar tertarik untuk datang dan berkunjung ke tempat tersebut.Dengan banyak nya wisatawan yang datang dapat membantu perekonomian sekitar tempat wisata dan membuka banyak lowongan pekerjaan.Untuk memahami apa itu describing place kalian harus tau apa saja struktur describing a person,kalian bisa simak penjelasan dibawah ini ya guys

I. Generic strusture Descriptive text

Untuk membuat sebuah teks deskriptif, diperlukan struktur penulisan yang dibagi ke dalam tiga bagian, diantaranya:

1. Introduction

Introduction is the very first part of a descriptive text, which is located in the very first paragraph. In this section, the reasons why the place is told are mentioned. In addition, the introduction section also explains why this place is so special that it is famous, and so on

2. Main body

The main body is the core part of a descriptive sentence. In this section, the author tells about the place that is told. Starting from the general part of the story to the special part. For example, at the beginning it tells all the characteristics of the environment such as landscapes, buildings, weather, then proceeds to specific details to complete the explanation 

3. Conclusion

There is no paragraph without a closing, and it is in this conclusion that the sentence is closed. In this section, the writer tells how the writer feels after visiting the place.

Borobudur Temple

Borobudur temple is one of the most beautiful tourist resorts in Indonesia. It is situated in central Java. Borobudur temple is one of the seven wonders of the world which needs to be preserved its circumstances. The people all over the world know that Borobudur is one of the greatest art works that ever known since long time ago.

          Borobudur temple was built by Syailendra Dynasty during the eighth century. It needed more than two million river stones. It is the biggest temple in the world.

          After going into some restorations, Borobudur is visited by more and more tourists, both domestic and foreign tourists. Most of them admire Borobudur temple because of its beauty, its elegance and the story of the relief on its walls.

          Domestic tourists usually go there by bus or private cars, while foreign tourists like to join travel bureau because they don’t need to think of the transportation, accommodation, and itinerary. There are some money changers around the location. It makes them easier to change their money. But some of them like to bring credit cards and checks.

I. VOCABULARY

Vocabulary is commonly defined as "all the words known and used by a particular person

A vocabulary is a set of familiar words within a person's language. A vocabulary, usually developed with age, serves as a useful and fundamental tool for communication and acquiring knowledge. II. WORD ORDER

Dalam setiap bahasa pastinya ada word order atau susunan kata dalam pembentukan kalimat, namun ternyata tiap bahasa memiliki susunan yang berbeda. Maka dari itu, susunan kata atau word order ini ternyata juga berfungsi untuk memberikan keunikan tersendiri dari tiap bahasa. Word order dalam bahasa Inggris merupakan sebuah susunan kata secara baku untuk membentuk sebuah kalimat yang memiliki makna utuh. Seperti contohnya dengan kalimat “I love you” yang ternyata disusun dengan bentuk subject + verb + object (SVO) yang pada akhirnya memiliki arti untuk digunakan. Jika dibalik susunannya, maka kata tersebut tidak memiliki arti sama sekali. Pada susunan kalimat bahasa Inggris umumnya menggunakan urutan SVO, sebagai contoh: She baked Portuguese egg tarts. (Dia memanggang Portuguese egg tarts.) They found nothing. (Mereka tak menemukan apapun.) Dini and her family love cats. (Dini dan keluarganya menyukai kucing.) Baca juga: Stative Verbs VS Dynamic Verbs: Contoh, Arti, dan Cara Penggunaan Posisi dan Penempatan dalam Kalimat Sesuai dengan penjelasan di atas bahwa pola kalimat SVO dalam bahasa Inggris merupakan salah satu pola yang umum dan mendasar. Namun, ada bagian lain yang memiliki peranan penting dalam sebuah kalimat bahasa Inggris, seperti: direct objects, adverb atau adverb phrases. Ini artinya selain SVO terdapat pula pola lain seperti SVOI (Subject, Verb, Object, Indirect Object) dan juga SVOA (Subject, Verb, Object, Adverb). Bagaimana penempatannya? Direct object dan indirect object Dilansir dari Cambridge Dictionary, jika kita ingin mengekspresikan untuk menerima sesuatu kita bisa menggunakan susunan kata yang tipikal dengan direct object (do) dan juga indirect object (io). Penempatan io dan do ini bisa berpengaruh pada arti kalimat. Mari lihat contohnya di bawah ini: Indirect object berada setelah direct object jika dalam kalimat tersebut menggunakan preposition “to”. (The doctor gave some medicine to the child.) Indirect object berada di depan direct object, preposition “to” harus dihilangkan. (The doctor gave the child some medicine.) Adverbs dan adverb phrases Terdapat tiga cara untuk menempatkan adverbs (kata tunggal) dan adverb phrases (kelompok kata, biasanya terbentuk dengan awalan sebuah preposition) dalam sebuah kalimat bahasa Inggris. Bagaimana caranya? Sebelum subject. (At the end of March (Adverb) + the weather (Subject) + was (Verb) + rather cold.) Setelah object. (The girl (Subject) + wrote (Verb) + a letter (Object) + on her computer in the bus (Adverb).) Di tengah verb group. (The boy (Subject) + has (Verb) + already (Adverb) + written (Verb) + his letter (Object).) Baca juga: Cara Penggunaan Interjection (Kata Seru) dalam Bahasa Inggris  Jenis-Jenis Word Order Ada beberapa jenis susunan kata dalam bahasa Inggris yang berfungsi untuk membuat kalimat memiliki arti sepenuhnya. Apa saja itu? Subordinate Clauses Dalam  subordinate clauses, word order sama dengan bentuk pada simple affirmative sentences (Conjunctions sering digunakan diantara 2 klausa). Contoh: I will tell you the story at school tomorrow because I don’t have time now. (Aku akan menceritakannya di sekolah besok karena aku tidak memiliki waktu sekarang.) Position of Time Expressions Bisa dikatakan time expressions merupakan keterangan waktu, seperti: now, recently, yesterday, etc. Dalam bentuk ini adverbs of time biasanya diletakkan di akhir kalimat, seperti: I will tell you the story tomorrow. (Aku akan mnceritakannya besok.) Namun, jika kita tidak ingin menekankan keterangan waktu dalam kalimat, maka adverbs of time diletakkan di awal kalimat. Contoh: Tomorrow I will tell you the story.
